Melissa and Josh Engagement – Southport NC

Josh and Melissa are good friends of mine, so when they asked me to photograph their wedding, I was super excited.  For their engagement session we went into the small oceanfront town of Southport, NC.  Many of you may recognize Southport because of its appearance in the recent Romantic Film, “Safe Haven”.  I could not have picked a better location to photograph the engagement photos of these two lovebirds.

Enjoy!

Jaci and John’s Charleston Wedding

Jaci and John tied the knot in beautiful Charleston, SC.  They kicked off their wedding weekend with a rehearsal dinner at Westbrook Brewing Company.  Pot Kettle Black food truck catered the dinner with unique foods such as pulled pork tacos, duck confit sandwiches, and a southern blt’s.  The next day Jaci and John celebrated their wedding ceremony in a beautiful church in downtown Charleston while holding their wedding reception at the picturesque Lighthouse on Shem Creek in Mt Pleasant.  The entire weekend captured the beauty and character that Charleston and the surrounding area’s have to offer.  A short time later, Jaci and John took advantage of a day after session in beautiful downtown Greenville, SC.  It was a wonderful way to wrap up their wedding photos.

Kat, Dan and Max – Fort Fisher, NC

Kat, Dan and Max are so much fun to photograph.  I’ve been fortunate enough to have been documenting their life together since before little Max came into this world.  They live in Columbus, OH and vacation to the Wilmington area a few times a year.  Each time they make it down, we try to get up and get a photo session in.  It’s such a privilege to watch the little guy grow and catch up with this family.  I’m really looking forward to the next time we are able to get together.

Enjoy!

Mallory’s Senior Photos – Myrtle Beach

When trying to decide on a location for her High School Senior photos, Mallory opted out of having them taken in her hometown in Pennsylvania and went with the beautiful backdrop Myrtle Beach State Park has to offer.  We had a blast and even took advantage of the amazing moon over the water.

Enjoy!

On your wedding day, the details are just as important as photos of friends, family and guests.  This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful bride and groom at Wachesaw Plantation in Murrells Inlet, SC.  Here are some of my favorite detail shots of their wedding day!

Jamie and Shane – An Isle of Palms Wedding

AIMG_5745.JPGIMG_3776.JPGIMG_3929.JPGIMG_3945.JPGIMG_4000.JPGIMG_4022.JPGIMG_4058.JPGIMG_4059.JPGIMG_4108.JPGIMG_4121.JPGIMG_4208.JPGIMG_4218.JPGIMG_4313.JPGIMG_4319.JPGIMG_4333.JPGIMG_4427.JPGIMG_4436.JPGIMG_4573.JPGIMG_4611.JPGIMG_4649.JPGIMG_4719.JPGIMG_4965.JPGIMG_5112.JPGIMG_5269.JPGIMG_5390.JPGIMG_5485.JPGIMG_5657.JPGIMG_5726.JPGIMG_5736.JPG

Jamie’s wedding weekend was one of the most memorable I’ve had in awhile.  She is a good friend of mine, so I made plans to come down Friday evening, and stay through the weekend to celebrate and spend time with her and Shane.  When I arrived to the party on Friday, it was quickly pointed out that Zach Galifianakis and his family were vacationing in the house beside of us.  Jamie explained how they spent much of the day on Friday trying to get him to join them for the festivities of the weekend.  Needless to say, he didn’t come around and kept to the grounds of the beach house his family had rented for the week.

Saturday started with mimosa’s while Jamie and her bridesmaids were getting ready in the master suite in the beautiful home we stayed in all weekend.  The guys watched football and once the ladies were ready, Jamie, Shane and I started taking photos around the beach house we were staying in all weekend.  Her wedding day could not have turned out more perfect.  With everyone being onsite, the whole day was relaxed and just flowed seamlessly.  The beautiful ocean backdrop that the South Carolina coast offers is really amazing and provided great scenery for her beach wedding.  Jamie and Shane’s closest friends and family were in attendance and the evening provided an amazing backdrop for photos.

I am so happy to have the opportunity to photograph Jamie and Shane’s wedding.  I am even more ecstatic to be able to call them both friends.  I want to thank Jamie and Shane for letting me spend such a special weekend with them and their family.  I had such an amazing time and can’t wait for a reunion with each of them.

Enjoy!

Ali and Matt’s Naval Academy Wedding

AIMG_0278.JPGIMG_0007.JPGIMG_0123.JPGIMG_0145.JPGIMG_0229.JPGIMG_0250.JPGIMG_0263.JPGIMG_0364.JPGIMG_0389.JPGIMG_0654.JPGIMG_0675.JPGIMG_0726.JPGIMG_0823.JPGIMG_0912.JPGIMG_0934.JPGIMG_0951.JPGIMG_0955.JPGIMG_1072.JPGIMG_1336.JPGIMG_1264.JPGIMG_9920.JPGIMG_9923.JPGIMG_9927.JPGIMG_9941.JPGIMG_0174 (2).JPGIMG_0380.JPG

When Ali contacted me about photographing her wedding at the U.S. Naval Academy, I could not have been more excited.  Shooting photos in Annapolis, at the Naval Academy, has been on my bucket list for several years.  And to get the opportunity to explore those grounds, and to get to shoot a bride and groom there, really just made my year.

The day could not have been more perfect, from the amazing weather, to the beautiful bride and groom, to the amount of time we had to go around campus and photograph almost anywhere we pleased.  One of the more exciting things that happened during our exploring of the Naval Academy grounds was running into the Secretary of the Navy, Ray Mabus.  Matt and Ali both were really excited to meet Mr. Mabus, so we had to take the opportunity to grab a quick photo with him.

The day ended with a beautiful reception at the historic Loews Hotel in downtown Annapolis.  I’m so happy to have had this opportunity and that I was able to share such great memories with a truly amazing couple.

Enjoy!
